Summary
Responsible for performing the installation of energy efficient lighting systems and controls in accordance with the design and direction provided by the Lighting Project Supervisor. Maintain awareness and propose strategies to optimize the profitability of lighting projects while meeting or exceeding quality standards that have been established with the client and marketplace. Perform the duties assigned in a timely, professional, and safe manner.
100% installation time.
Qualification Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Minimum of 6 months of electrical experience or equivalent training and management reserves the right to advance to next level as employee demonstrates on-the-job capability.
Must pass a drug test and background check.
Electrical lighting industry experience preferred
OSHA 10 preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understanding of electrical/lighting systems.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations manuals, and written directions.
Capable of installing UL Types A, B and C TLED retrofit measures, reflector kits, new fixtures, new MC power cable to new fixtures, occupancy sensor controls, CAT5 cabling and connections, and assisting in light EMT conduit work.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Must demonstrate the ability to learn new skills quickly.
Follow material installation instructions
Ability to obtain OSHA 10 or OSHA 30.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No direct reports. Must demonstrate supervisory experience and possess HS diploma for advancement to Foreman.
Essential Functions
Operates independently in the installation of materials in a lighting system project and has the capabilities to act as a Foreman of Material Manager when assigned to such tasks.
Available to assist the Lighting Project Supervisor with the training of Class B and C lighting technicians.
Capable of installing UL Types A, B and C TLED retrofit measures, reflector kits, new fixture installations, new MC power cable to new fixtures, installing and commissioning occupancy sensor controls, CAT5 cabling and connections, and assisting in light EMT conduit work.
Shift work and extensive travel is expected.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
Must be able to work from a ladder up to 12’ high.
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours.
Climbing (ladders), kneeling, reaching, balancing, lifting, working overhead.
Work Environment
Environment can vary greatly including indoors and outdoors in various climates including conditioned and unconditioned spaces.
