Position Summary:

The Corporate HR Strategy & Execution team at PFG is responsible for driving the strategic development and operational implementation of our large, national organization's people vision and strategy, culture, brand and associate experience. The Director of HR Planning & Performance orchestrates high-impact initiatives including: HR/strategic workforce planning and portfolio management, HR integrations for acquisitions, HR/workforce measurement and reporting, process improvement and automation efforts, and cultural alignment and advancement with the organization's overall vision and strategy. Our goal is to evolve PFG's people and culture practices, brand and associate experience as a competitive advantage -- positioning our company as an employer of choice by supporting the attraction, engagement and retention of our valued associates. This is a highly consultative, strategic and influential role, reporting directly to the VP of HR Strategy & Execution and serving as a trusted partner and go-to resource for HR and business leaders.

Facilitate Corporate HR strategy development and alignment with overall organizational workforce and workplace needs, collaborate with HR and business leaders to understand current and future workforce requirements throughout the business segments, research and recommend strategic people and culture initiatives to advance business and workforce priorities, and support the alignment of HR resources including the financial planning processes. Synthesize HR strategies for executive-level presentations, communications, calendars, etc., to creatively and effectively drive adoption and change.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead Corporate HR's portfolio management practice to ensure successful execution of Corporate HR's strategy and oversee the measurement/reporting processes to demonstrate the impact and value of people and culture initiatives -- for the business and for our associates. Lead and consult on strategic HR projects, from development through implementation, deploying change management best practices.

  • Support the successful integration of company acquisitions from an HR perspective to achieve strategic objectives and enhance the performance of the company. Facilitate cross-functional teams to create consistency of processes, protocols and reporting. Develop and leverage HR playbook approach to acquisitions, from pre-deal through deal to post-deal.

  • Develop external networks with professional HR strategists and futurists and internal networks with HR, business and financial partners. Provide HR planning/performance, project consultation, education, and support to HR and business leaders to reinforce our people practices, consistent culture and enhance the associate experience.

  • Partner with the Corporate Communications function to promote the organization's people vision and strategy, culture and brand across the enterprise while also supporting diversity and inclusion leadership in efforts to align and advance the organization's people and culture practices to achieve its diversity, equity and inclusion vision and goals.

  • Partner with HRIS, business subject matter experts and technical teams to drive process improvement and process automation, supporting implementation of new technologies/capabilities and system enhancements.

  • Contribute to building a high-performing HR Strategy & Execution team by collaborating and coaching team members and by continuing personal growth, development and knowledge-sharing.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in related field

7+ years of broad HR experience with 3+ years of leading large-scale, strategic HR initiatives

High-level expertise in HR/workforce strategy and execution

Advanced ability to translate complex concepts into effective messages, models, media

Experience with company acquisitions and integrations

Demonstrated ability to work in team environment, set priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver stellar results

Strong collaboration skills combined with high level of integrity, credibility and ability to influence

Track record of effective partnerships with business, finance and HR leaders on topics of strategic importance

Ability to balance strategic thinking and problem solving with detailed, focused execution

Proven portfolio, project, process and time management skills

Excellent written, oral, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
