Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Database Developer in the education industry, located in Richmond, Virginia. This role can be performed remotely and will involve a range of tasks related to SQL database development.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes, ensuring efficient data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

• Write complex SQL queries to optimize database performance.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.

• Customize and create SSRS reports to meet specific business needs.

• Perform troubleshooting of database queries and SSIS packages, ensuring optimal performance.

• Assist in various application development tasks, especially those involving file manipulation.

• Maintain a strong focus on problem-solving and attention to detail.

• Work independently and as part of a remote team in a fast-paced environment.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and convey technical concepts remotely. Requirements • Proficiency in Database and Database Object Management, with a keen understanding of their application in an educational setting

• Familiarity with EO/IR systems and their integration within the university database

• Expertise in Erwin Data modeling tools for effective database development

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server for managing and manipulating university data

• Experience with AB Testing to optimize database performance and usability

• Skill in Data Warehousing to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval

• Strong design skills, with a focus on creating user-friendly databases for academic and administrative use

• Proficiency in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for efficient data management
