Commissioning Engineer Senior

Requirements

  • Completion of Cx Level requirements for advancement to Commissioning Engineer Senior

Education and Cx experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering is preferred but other engineering disciplines may be accepted by Cx Management plus 5 + years of Cx experience, OR

  • Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering and 3 + years’ experience in Cx.

  • Years of service is a typical guideline and not an automatic milestone for advancement. An engineer who demonstrates their knowledge and expertise at a particular level may be advanced by the commissioning engineering managers to the engineer’s appropriate level of performance.

Job Requirements

  • Lead the commissioning efforts for a project from inception through testing at Modular MEP to final completion on the project site.

  • Develop commissioning plans for a project

  • Develop commissioning criteria matrix

  • Develop component master equipment list

  • Develop test script for all equipment from specifications and project requirements

  • Develop the Infralink work flows to track all commissioning activities and ensure that it is kept up to date through the life of the project

  • Develop schedules for the commissioning efforts that aligns and meets the project’s schedule requirements and milestones.

  • Interact with project personnel to develop schedules, personnel roles and responsibilities and budgets.

  • Represent M.C. Dean commissioning in meetings with the owner and/or their representatives

  • Respond to and address customer comments to commissioning deliverables

  • Report project progress to commissioning management in daily meetings.

  • Support and assist in M.C. Dean’s initiatives for modular design, testing and reporting processes.

  • Develop and train commissioning personnel on the project site or at Modular MEP.

Abilities

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.

  • Sitting for extended periods of time.

  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.

  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.

  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.

  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
