Description

We are seeking a meticulous Business Analyst to assist with projects in the treasury, tax revenue, and cash operations and ledger functions for our client. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, resolving and reporting opportunities for efficiency and streamlining of processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing key processes in the treasury, tax revenue and cash operations department

• Ensuring the efficient operation of cash operations

• Providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

• Understanding and managing the cash to ledger process

• Using accounting software systems such as Oracle and Microsoft Excel for various accounting tasks

• Overseeing accounting functions including accounts payable and accounts receivable

• Ensuring compliance with GAAP accounting principles

• Managing general ledger entries and cash applications

• Maintaining a detail-oriented and organized work environment within the team.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles

• Ability to handle Cash Applications

• Expertise in managing General Ledger

• Proficiency in Oracle software

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in a government setting is preferred

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Strong leadership skills and team oriented approach
