Associate Project Manager
POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Associate Project Manager for our Power Delivery group in Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi (New Orleans, The Woodlands, Beaumont, Little Rock, Jackson, Baton Rouge, and Lake Charles). This position is an integral member of the project team working closely with Project Management, Production, and Project Controls within our client's Project Management office. The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting, organizing, and controlling project activities under the oversight of the Senior Project Manager. The ideal candidate should have a desire to develop project management capabilities to transition to a Project Manager role in the next 2-3 years.
Roles & Responsibilities
Provide coordination, administrative, and analytic support to Project Managers
Coordinate and communicate with all levels of management and disciplines throughout the project life cycle to support project cost and schedule objectives
Track and report on project deliverables and milestones on multi-discipline complex projects. Track and ensure resolution to RFIs.
· Oversee project budgets, review costs, provide cash flow forecasts, and ensure adherence to planned budgets to maintain client satisfaction and financial success
· Identify and mitigate potential project risks, implementing strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
· Organize and lead routine project meetings with clients and teams to align on expectations, progress, and performance. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
· Document all project deliverables, including correspondence, project changes, and project files, ensuring thorough record-keeping.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future opportunities
May include in-office presence 2-3 days a week and/or periodic site visits
· Adhere to safety regulations and enforce project safety standards
Required Education/Experience
Five (5) years of power delivery industry experience
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry-related experience
Experience with MS Project, MS Visio, Oracle, MS Dynamics, and/or ProjectWise
Certification from AACE or PMI
