We are in search of an Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team situated in RICHMOND, Virginia. In this role, you will be tasked with the management of customer credit applications and maintaining accurate records. You will also be instrumental in resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Effectively interact with the accounts payable team, other departments, and management

• Utilize SAP or other large ERP for various functions

• Handle Concur expense report system when needed

• Assist in the leadership of the accounts payable team

• Quickly learn all aspects of the A/P department including check runs, 1099s, and vendor setup

• Analyze GL coding and GRIR reports

• Respond to questions from internal customers and propose solutions to encountered problems

• Conduct GL reconciliations, check register reconciliations, wire process, and payment/purchasing card reconciliations

• Serve as a backup to the Accounts Payable Manager when needed.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable (AP) role

• Proficiency in using SAP software for financial management

• Solid understanding of General Ledger practices

• Experience in managing Check Runs

• Demonstrated ability in performing Account Reconciliation

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

• Knowledge of relevant accounting software besides SAP is a plus

• Proven ability to supervise and guide a team is desirable.
