Description We are searching for a meticulous Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. The primary function of this role involves processing a high volume of invoices daily using EDI and electronic invoice filing systems. This position also involves maintaining accurate records of accounts payable transactions, verifying invoices, and managing purchase orders.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process a high volume of invoices daily using EDI and electronic filing systems.

• Maintain and manage accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

• Verify invoices for accuracy and completeness before processing.

• Manage purchase orders, ensuring they match with invoices and records.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data entry tasks related to accounts payable.

• Monitor invoice filing systems and move invoices to the appropriate system as needed.

• Respond promptly and professionally to vendor inquiries about invoice status.

• Collaborate with the team to improve accounts payable processes.

• Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to accounts payable. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and principles.

• Demonstrable experience in the field of accounts payable.

• Proficiency in data entry tasks with high levels of accuracy.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for managing data and financial calculations.

• Experience with verifying invoices to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.

• Familiarity with handling purchase orders and their associated processes.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

• High attention to detail and ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in financial data.
