JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative and clerical support for the department. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepares and inputs data into computer database. Responds to telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person. Maintains files in an accurate and efficient manner. Assists with requisitioning supplies and purchase order inquiries. Provides clerical support including typing, filing, and distribution of mail; greets and directs visitors. Assists employees in acquiring personnel information. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma/GED. 2 years job related experience. Good computer and typing skills (minimum 35 WPM). Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong public relations and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with others. Good organizational skills, ability to prioritize own work and ability to complete assigned tasks within tight deadline, multi-tasker.
SALARY RANGE: $15.71 - $19.64 hourly based on qualifications.
