As aDesigner, you play a critical dual role in leading the design and execution of custom greenhouse projects. You combine creative design expertise with project management skills to ensure every project meets client specifications, manufacturing requirements, and timelines. Your ability to manage complex projects while collaborating across teams ensures the delivery of high-quality, customized greenhouse solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design Responsibilities
- Work with clients to conceptualize and develop custom greenhouse designs tailored to their needs, preferences, and intended applications.
- Create detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit).
- Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to refine designs and address technical challenges.
- Stay updated on trends, materials, and innovations in greenhouse design and incorporate them into projects as appropriate.
Project Management Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of projects, from initial client consultation to final delivery and installation.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing concerns or changes.
- Coordinate with internal teams (design, manufacturing, procurement, and installation) and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks or delays, ensuring projects are completed to specification and satisfaction.
Collaboration and Communication
- Foster strong relationships with clients to understand their unique needs and ensure a personalized experience.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to ensure design intent is preserved throughout manufacturing and installation.
- Lead project meetings, providing clear updates, feedback, and next steps to all stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate past projects to identify opportunities for improvement in design processes, project management practices, and customer satisfaction.
- Propose and implement innovative design or process solutions to enhance efficiency, sustainability, or aesthetics.
Performance Metrics
- On-time and within-budget project delivery.
- Client satisfaction and feedback scores.
- Design accuracy and manufacturability.
- Team collaboration and communication effectiveness.
- Contribution to process or design innovations.
Qualifications and Skills
Required:
- Expertise in CAD software for creating detailed drawings and designs (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Revit).
- Proven project management experience, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to balance technical, aesthetic, and practical considerations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client engagement and team collaboration.
- Understanding of materials, structures, and manufacturing processes relevant to greenhouse design.
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP or CAPM) or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with construction processes and building code requirements.
- Experience in the greenhouse or construction industry.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
