Your role at Clorox:
The Senior Demand & Supply Planner is responsible for creating & maintaining the forecast and for managing supply & inventory for multiple Clorox product categories across all channels, customers and distributors as well as driving continuous development of the S&OP process.
Responsible for balancing the demand plan to ensure it fully supports both the Product Supply & business strategies. Responsible for submitting official forecast commitments to internal teams for financial and inventory planning on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Responsible for leading category S&OP meetings and active participation in category projects.
Ensuring optimal inventory levels by monitoring supply plans, replenishment orders, scheduling requirements & supplier capacities of all manufacturing locations.
Developing business relationships and using data-driven insights, analysis & tools to ensure forecast accuracy. The Planning team are fundamental to delivering excellent Customer Fulfillment Rates at optimal Total Delivered Cost and for supporting the execution of the business sales plan.
In this role, you will:
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain rolling 18-month forecasts on a monthly basis utilizing forecasting system & tools.
Build the forecast using historic base sales/trends & post-activity evaluations and work with sales & marketing to agree assumptions / activity uplifts.
Ensure total & sub-category level forecasts tie to total company revenue expectations - highlight gaps/risks/opportunities
Work with Sales Team to compare distributor & customer forecasts, inventory levels, shipment trends & POS. Highlight issues/opportunities and amend forecasts.
Proactively communicate critical changes to downstream supply chain partners.
Manage the demand planning for new products, transitions and discontinuations through liaison with Project leaders, Sales, Marketing & Finance teams.
Build long-range budgets & forecasts annually, review & submit quarterly.
Lead monthly Demand Alignment and GM Brief meetings ensuring full process adherence by other key stakeholders.
Identify and execute continuous improvement plans for the S&OP process.
Forecast Accuracy & Bias KPIs – Establish targets, monitor, report and publish results, driving improvements through close communication with stakeholders, trend analysis and gap identification.
Own the day-to-day Supply/Demand relationship between manufacturing locations and EU/SSA business.
Oversee capacity and scheduling requirements to ensure maximization of product availability to Customers. Communicate status & risk and recommended actions to the business as soon as issues identified.
Work closely with the Customer Care teams, US export team, Planning and Logistics functions to ensure deliveries are made on time in full.
Manage the introduction of new products and product changeovers through liaison with Project leader, Sales, Marketing & Finance. Manage supply timings, phase-out requirements, write offs and demand expectations.

What we look for:
Required Qualifications and Capabilities
a. Years and Type of Experience Preferred:
5+ years Supply Chain experience.
5+ years Demand/Supply Planning experience.
Experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods industries (or similar).
b. Education Level/Degree:
- Business degree or other relevant qualification / relevant work experience preferred.
c. Technical Skills Preferred:
Experience using planning software & working with technical teams to develop/implement (preferred).
Advanced MS Excel.
Analytical skills including basic statistics.
Report writing and presenting.
Master data management.
Broad understanding of Supply Chain & Business Finance .
d. Managerial Skills and Abilities:
Independent working style, self-starter, able to thrive in ambiguous situations.
Continuous Improvement mind-set; able to develop/simplify processes.
Ability to problem solve; take ownership, identify root-causes and implement timely resolutions.
