Transportation Manager & Facility Operations
The Transportation Manager & Facility Operations is a permanent full-time position, responsible for day-to-day agency operations, including transportation, facilities, personnel management, training, equipment and resources management. Central to this role is managing and maintaining compliance with The Arc's contract with Ben Franklin Transit, including hiring, training, NTD data collection, accident investigation, coordination of vehicle maintenance, and all other policies & procedures. The facilities management function includes maintenance of buildings, equipment and grounds, code compliance, safety, security and capital improvements. In conjunction with our outside IT services company, this position has responsibility
Qualifications and Educational Requirements
- Some experience in a public or paratransit transportation setting.
- AA Degree or 5 years' relevant work experience, plus at least 2 years' experience working in a management position.
- Satisfactorily pass a DSHS background check and pre-employment drug screen.
- Possess or ability to obtain valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
- Experience with computers, working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
- Have no physical restrictions or limitations that would prevent job duties from being fulfilled.
Preferred Skills
- Working knowledge of public transportation and/or paratransit operations.
- Management of and applications for public grants.
- Familiarity with building systems, including fire alarms & suppression, HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and security.
- Possess an understanding of IT systems and the ability to serve as an Administrator for local functions.
- Effective written & oral communication skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow through on assignments to completion.
Wage & Benefits
Starting $70,000.00 salary based on experience and reviewed after a 90-day probationary period, with annual performance reviews thereafter. Sick leave, vacation, holiday, and major medical benefits included.
