As a Training / Instructional Specialist in Richland, WA, you will be part of the proven team in the Operational Quality Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. Fuel Training Specialists develop course and qualification materials that provide a framework for job/task qualifications that ensure requisite knowledge and job skills are achieved for employees to safely perform job assignments in accordance with all requirements. A close working relationship between line management and the Training Department is necessary. While management has the primary responsibility for training content, Training staff has primary responsibility for training material and delivery. Your work will include: Delivering in-person training, such as new hire orientation, manufacturing process, and nuclear, radiological and industrial safety courses, as assigned by supervisor. Assisting employees in the computer lab to complete online learning assignments. Reviewing procedures and revising training materials to ensure compliance to requirements, including writing learning plans, knowledge exams and skills evaluations. Administering manufacturing and engineering qualification programs via Learning Management System (i.e., entering qualification records, running audit reports, scheduling training, editing qualification requirements, proctoring exams). Assisting supervisors and personnel in identifying training needs. Working with subject matter experts and using the Systematic Approach to Training model (ADDIE), develop / re-develop regulatory-required training programs for employees, contractors and/or customers. Using the Learning Management System, creating new / revised training requirements and assigning to personnel. Working with experienced trainers, your teammates, on various training projects (development and delivery). Mindset for continual improvement of safety and quality. Developing and implementing training using a graded approach to Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) Providing classroom instruction Preparing and updating training and qualification materials. Performing skills evaluations as needed. Preparing reports of personnel training and qualification status. Preparing and administering training. Preparing and administering electronic examinations. Providing responses to questions about audits and external assessments of training program. Establishing a training schedule
