A Senior Industrial Hygienist is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Richland, WA area. The Senior Industrial Hygienist manages industrial hygiene programs to ensure safety and regulatory compliance while preventing workplace hazards.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementing and administering project industrial hygiene programs.

• Focus on employee and public safety and occupational health.

• Serve as a resource for line management to support a proactive prevention program.

• Perform moderately complex technical work across various industrial hygiene disciplines.

• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and health standards, as well as federal and state regulations.

• Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing safety and quality values.

• Provide technical assistance to office and field operations for compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Conduct evaluations of equipment, structures, and ongoing work to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

• Recommend specifications for facilities and technology to achieve organizational objectives.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's of Science or Master of Science in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering field and a minimum of 9 years related experience.

• Bachelor's of Science or Master of Science in Occupational Safety, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related science or engineering field and a minimum of 13 years related experience.

• Minimum of 9 years of related experience, or 15 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in a nuclear, heavy construction, chemical processing or petroleum refining environment is preferred.
