Amentum Operations Specialist III - Requirements Management in Richland, Washington
The Operations Specialist III –Requirements Management. Requirement Area Plant Management (RAOP) for Plant Management (RAOP-OP), Activity Level (RAOP-AL), and Safety Basis (RAOP-SB) is responsible for activities relating to activity level requirements flow down for operations and maintenance associated with plant equipment and systems. This position reports to the Operations Compliance Manager. Responsibilities include providing administrative and technical support for the Requirements Management System (DOORS). Support includes coordinating requirements management activities with the RAOP Requirement Area Manager (RAM), RAOP-OP Subject Matter Expert (SME), RAOP-SB SME, and the RAOP-AL SME, maintaining and resolving compliance between the RMS, operations procedures, maintenance documents, and associated permits and licenses. coordinating issues resolution, progress reporting, and requirement surveillance activities with program requirement area managers (RAMs) and subject matter experts (SMEs), identifying activity level requirements, facilitating requirement flow down and implementation into activity level documents. Interfaces with technical procedure developers and Plant Management system engineers through the implementation process. Initiate requirement implementation through Periodic Maintenance Task Forms (PMTFs) and Procedure Change Requests (PCRs). This position is expected to utilize independent decision-making regarding resolution of problems. This position may coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES/TASKS
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Perform all work in compliance within applicable license, permits and regulations.
Complete required training and maintain qualifications associated with Operations Specialist III– Activity Level Requirements and as a Requirement Management System (RMS) user.
Support operations, maintenance, and commissioning of the Waste Treatment Plant (WTP) Facilities.
Remain apprised of operational status and ongoing modification activities that impact the implementation of requirements.
Develop and maintain Plant Management, Safety Basis, and Activity Level Requirements training material and support training implementation.
Review Project requirements documents for operations and maintenance activity level impacts.
Identify deficiencies and initiate corrective actions.
Perform activities and meet the goals and objectives established by the facility management organization.
Represent Plant Management for interfaces with other project organizations on issues affecting activity level requirements and implementation of operations and maintenance activities.
Gain and maintain an expertise in IBM Rational DOORS®.
Develop standard reports and templates to suit end-users needs.
Ensure accurate identification, allocation, and flow down of activity level source requirements.
Perform assessments to identify process improvements within Program and Activity Level Requirements.
Coordinate the flow down of environmental, safety, and health requirements (e.g. permit requirements, laws, national consensus codes and standards) from the designated requirement area program into operating and maintenance procedures developed by the Technical Procedures organization and the Work Planning and Control organization.
Gain and maintain a working knowledge of institutional programs that implement the Integrated Safety Management System.
Establish and maintain a working relationship with the Nuclear and Non-Nuclear Facility Management organizations.
Ensuring the standards set by the conduct of operations procedures are upheld in the planning and development of activities.
Support the Waste Treatment Plant Nuclear Safety Quality Culture by emphasizing the values of safety and quality in the performance of work in order to protect self, others, and the environment.
Conduct concise, informative briefings which establish goals and priorities for the assigned activities.
Communicate with other support organizations to ensure activities are started and completed as scheduled.
Make timely, informative notifications when required by facility events and procedures.
Perform activities and meet the goals and objectives established by the facility management organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree in engineering or science or equivalent education desired. Associates Degree in engineering or science may be substituted for two years of experience.
Experience: 6 years of experience working in IBM Rational DOORs®, a relational database in the area of requirements management, within nuclear or high hazard waste treatment facilities. Knowledge of DOE operating policies, rules and regulations, or knowledge of commercial nuclear facilities (e.g. NRC/INPO) regulations and requirements, and knowledge of industry codes and standards in the area of expertise desired. Working knowledge and understanding of work control processes to include Periodic Maintenance Task Forms (PMTFs) and Computerize Material Management System (CMMS) desired. Must be proficient in MS Office Suite.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Performs desk work, including writing, computer workstation processes, and telephone operation. Arranges for and/or performs presentations, oral reports, planning meetings, and other formal and informal contacts, requiring long periods of sitting. Oversees field activities through inspections, testing and equipment operations, which requires walking, standing, bending, and turning along with wearing of personal protective equipment. Occasional loading, transport, and unloading of tools and/or supplies specific to an activity.
This position is located at the Construction Site (22 miles north of Richland) and works a 4 x 10 schedule, M-Th, 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Must be able to work in the United States without Sponsorship
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy (DOE) badge for access to the Hanford site .
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $99,193.03 - $154,255.09 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
