Hanford Mission Integration Solutions Operations Specialist (39742) in Richland, Washington
Job Duties/Scope Of Work This position serves as an Operations Support Specialist for the Hanford Fire Department (HFD) Support Services division. Specific duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: •Maintain awareness of HFD Operations (and employee) needs and issues to ensure logistical needs are identified/forecasted, procured, and delivered within the constraints of a 24 x 7 mission. •Execution of purchasing process necessary to obtain materials, equipment and services using the eBOM and SOS purchasing systems, monitoring and tracking until received. •Process employee reimbursements as necessary. •Receive daily assignments and direction from HFD leadership. •Collect, review, format, and upload HFD records in IDMS, including the handling of OUO document. •Assist with HFD asset tracking and inventory property campaigns. •Maintain tracking of HFD radio property assignments. •Provide support with HFD audits to ensure compliance. •May serve as a member of Facility Emergency Response Organization (FERO) staff during drills and facility emergency response. •The successful candidate must be a self-starter with creative problem-solving skills, possess the ability to adapt to constantly changing organizational priorities, ability to handle multiple job tasks concurrently, and communicate with all levels of staff and management, both internal and external to the org. •Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in business administration, plus one year of directly related work experience, -OR- an equivalent combination of education and experience. •Intermediate working level knowledge with the Microsoft Office suite of programs. •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Ability to lift, unassisted, 40 lbs. as part of daily duties •Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Desired Qualifications •In-depth knowledge and experience with the Hanford Site procurement processes/procedures and software applications. •Basic knowledge of emergency management and/or fire terminology, PPE, and equipment.
