Confidential Diesel Mechanic in Richland, Washington
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. This is a hands-on, safety-sensitive position that requires strong technical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines and vehicles - Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems - Use hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues - Conduct engine tune-ups, oil changes, and filter replacements - Repair or replace faulty parts, such as brakes, transmissions, and fuel systems - Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs - Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role - Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems - Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Customer service-oriented with good communication skills
