We need a psychologist on our team who will step up to the challenge of putting the

puzzle pieces together to uncover emerging sources of a child's difficulty. Someone

whose priority is bringing clarity for caregivers and treatment team alike to understand

their child and how to help them become the best they can be.

If your main focus is having a full caseload then this position is not for you. This role's

primary responsibilities will include providing psycho-diagnostic evaluations

investigating disorders commonly emerging in children, i.e. ADHD, ASD, RAD, DMDD,

for Utah's premier, integrated behavioral health care team, Utah Behavior Services.

P.S. A small caseload is available if that's what fills your bucket- if not, no sweat!

What Winning Looks Like:

Producing a thorough, well-written, detailed report with descriptive diagnostic

formulation, that you would be proud of sharing (with peers, in court, on the

news, or with the APA ethics board).

Turning a high-quality report around within 14 days.

Contributing to the success and quality of the entire continuum of services,

especially through continued growth and development of all Clinicians.

Writing a report that paints a clear picture of the whole child's bio psycho-social

considerations, not just checking the DSM boxes. (We know there's not real

checkboxes)

Adding valuable contributions, insights, and ethical oversight, as a member of our

peer review team.

Troubleshooting the hell out of the most intense behaviors with the team to keep

kids in their least restrictive environment.

Providing evaluations in which you are asked if the child is on the Autism

Spectrum, among other diagnoses.

Requirements:

A Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical or school psychology from an APA accredited

program.

Active License and ability to practice in Utah

Experience working with and being comfortable around children and families (not

just adults).

Ability to maintain confidentiality about the clients, families, staff, and any other

protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA. (Pretty standard,

across the board requirement).

Ability to pass a Background Check.

Ability to work a minimum of 21 hours a week with three evening sessions per

week (4-7 pm) unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.

Make themselves available to complete mandatory, ongoing, required training

scheduled throughout the year, including evenings and weekends. Case

management meetings may be conducted in the late evenings or early mornings

(after 8:00 pm or before 9 am) via Google Meet and when attendance is required

for all affected team members.

Ability to work professionally, in cooperation with team members, family

members, schools and other providers to coordinate and plan services.

Must comply with employment agreement, policies and procedures, and all

regulatory and statutory requirements.

Speak, write, read and/or communicate fluently in the English language.

Ability to type (or verbally dictate and edit) to write daily session

documentation in accordance with quality standards and policies and

procedures.

Must be computer literate and able to read and respond to multiple

company emails and internal messaging per day. Must have access to wi-fi

or internet connection outside of work hours.

Ability to maintain confidentiality pertaining to children, familie , Technicians,

staff, and any other protected health information (PHI).

Applicants must have a valid driver's license, active automobile insurance and

reliable transportation.

Understanding of the diagnostic and treatment needs of children with

developmental delays is essential.

Previous experience or a strong interest in working with children with autism

spectrum disorders.

Experience assisting with relatively complex diagnostic situations involving

multiple disorders.

Comfortable with integration of psychiatric medication management for

conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and mood disorders in

individuals diagnosed with autism in all age groups.

Essential Functions:

Maintain clinical qualifications, certifications, and licenses, as well as adhere to

the other requirements in the Google Drive for the position.

Communicate clearly and effectively in English to team members,

parents/caregivers,

Complete all required documentation in a thorough, professional, and timely

manner, according to UTBS policies and procedures guidelines.

Display honesty and integrity in all elements of job performance and interactions

with teammates,

Abide by all Utah and federal rules and regulations guiding ABA and Mental

Health services, including, but not limited to:

Best Practice standards and ethical guidelines of the Behavior Analysis

Certification Board (BACB), National Association for Social Workers

(NASW), or other applicable licensing board(s);

Guidelines and standards set by the Utah Department of Professional

Licensing (DOPL);

HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act);

Utah Department of Health and Human Services Code of Conduct;

Ethical Principles and Codes of Conduct of the American; Psychological

Association (Chapters 3. Human Relations, 4. Privacy and Confidentiality,

and 10. Therapy);

Fraud, Waste, and Abuse laws, including 45 CFR 152.27.

The Psychologist Google Drive will have the specific job maps, job duties,

Physical Requirements:

Due to the active and physical nature of this position, there are additional vision and

physical requirements that must be met in order to effectively function in this position.

The children for whom we provide services may exhibit physically aggressive behavior

which can include throwing objects, kicking, pinching, punching, biting, etc. The

Clinician may be required to respond to such behavior by implementing a Behavior

Intervention Plan that may include things such as response blocking, redirecting,

extinction, and restraint. Such a response may require a level of agility, quick reflex, and

the ability to physically protect themselves and the child from harm. Accordingly, a

Psychologist must meet the following additional requirements:

Strength and Mobility Requirements:

o Lifting up to 50 lbs.

o Carrying up to 50 lbs

o Standing, walking, sitting, kneeling, crouching, squatting, g rasping,

reaching, bending

Vision Requirements:

o Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less)

o Distant vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more)

o Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and

down or the left or right while eyes are fixed on a given point

o Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distance and

spatial relationships)
