As a Senior Software Development & Engineering Manager in Retirement Plan Services, you are responsible for leading one or more software delivery teams. You will ensure they are able to consistently produce high-quality output by providing guidance and support for all facets of software delivery, including design, development, testing, deployment, tooling and support. You will serve as a strong, versatile hands-on technical leader to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment.
What you have
Required Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in IT across Software Engineering/Development roles
5+ years of people leadership, supporting highly technical individuals
5+ years of experience running small to medium-sized projects and initiatives
Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum/Kanban) processes in planning, implementation and support of business applications, including change & release management
Strong knowledge of, and demonstrated expertise in, software design, development, testing, maintenance and support
Professional experience assembling and leading teams that developed distributed scalable enterprise-class applications with a few of the following technologies: C#, ASP, .NET, Delphi, Angular, SQL Server, Oracle, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, SAML, OAuth, REST and SOAP-based APIs
Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and motivational skills, with the ability to build rapport with and influence team members, peers, and partners
Ability to attract, engage and retain top, diverse technical talent
Ability to coach team members and assist them in identifying and achieving their personal and professional development goals
Proven success leveraging team member strengths to accomplish team, organization, and corporate goals
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Test Driven Development
Financial Services industry experience
Experience with the Atlassian suite of products (Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
Familiarity with Cloud Platforms such as PCF, GCP and AWS is preferred
Client-focused mindset, driven to understand and exceed the expectations of our internal and external customers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical issues to peers, partners, all levels of the technology organization
