Direct Hire Multi Craft Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Observe functioning of installed equipment to detect hazards, problems, and the need for service, repair, and/or replacement of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components.

• Discuss performance issues and improvement ideas with pertinent technical staff.

• Read and understand electronic and electrical/mechanical schematics; draw sketches to clarify design details and functional criteria of electronic units.

• Assemble experimental circuitry of complete prototype models according to engineering instruction, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components and their functions.

• Recommend changes in circuitry of installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.

• Understand and troubleshoot/repair solid-state motor drives, solid-state temperature controllers, and computer-based controllers.

• Set up standard test apparatus or contrive test equipment and circuitry; conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production models.

• Analyze and interpret data from solid-state motor drives and controllers, scope meters, and other troubleshooting equipment.

• Adjust, calibrate, and align circuitry and components and record effects on unit performance.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a PLC or Maintenance Mechanic role in an industrial environment.

• Strong engineering and technical skills including PLC, Electrical and Mechanical skills.

• Ability to conduct basic mathematical calculations.

• Use electrical test instrumentation.

• Good communication skills to work with plant personnel and vendors.

• Good analytical and problem-solving ability.

• Understanding of Continuous improvement methods.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Experience in preventive maintenance and industrial maintenance.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.

• Electrical welding experience.

Newer facility built in 2015, with some areas climate controlled and others not, but does not reflect extreme heat. The work environment is equipped with modern technologies and tools to support your role. Dress code and safety regulations are enforced to ensure a safe and professional workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Richburg, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00
