Machine Operator Needed In Richburg, SC

Job Description

Candidates will be operating unique equipment specific to our client. As the equipment is unique, extensive training will be provided. The primary responsibilities include measuring large pieces of stainless steel bars, cutting them to specific lengths, or grinding the outside diameter to the required width. In the first week, candidates will undergo safety and orientation training. For the next 2-3 weeks, they will observe operators, band steel, tag lines, operate overhead cranes, and input data into the ERP system. Cross-training for all lines is included.

Responsibilities

• Measure large pieces of stainless steel bars

• Cut bars to specific lengths

• Grind the outside diameter of bars to specific widths

• Operate unique machinery with in-depth training

• Observe operators and learn processes

• Band steel and tag lines

• Operate overhead crane

• Input data into ERP system

Work Environment

The work environment is a non-climate-controlled metal manufacturing facility that can be dirty and loud. The company provides personal protective equipment (PPE) for temporary employees, including earplugs, safety vests, cut-resistant gloves, and hard hats. The facility is small, with about 11 employees on each shift, fostering a close-knit environment. No heavy lifting is required, as machinery is used to move the bars.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richburg, South Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00
