Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Functional Project Manager in Richardson, Texas. This role pertains to the management of a large-scale office relocation project. The job function involves overseeing the movement of furniture, fixtures, equipment, and personnel as well as managing construction-related tasks. The role also includes coordinating with vendors and logistics providers to ensure smooth operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the office relocation process, ensuring all aspects are conducted efficiently

• Coordinate with vendors and manage logistics for the relocation of furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Manage people movement and ensure minimal disruption to operations

• Handle construction management tasks related to the relocation

• Assist with move-related tasks and ensure all activities align with the existing roadmap

• Track and monitor orders related to the relocation project

• Utilize project management skills to drive the project and ensure its successful completion

• Apply communication skills to maintain clear and effective correspondence with all stakeholders

• Utilize knowledge of budget processes to manage relocation costs effectively

• Leverage skills in cross-functional project management to coordinate various aspects of the project. Requirements • Must hold a minimum of 7 years of experience in a project management role

• Proven experience in managing budgets and financial planning

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Familiarity with construction industry and its specific requirements and challenges

• Demonstrable experience with cross-functional project management

• Proficiency in standard project management software and tools

• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration or Project Management (Master's degree preferred)

• Professional certification like PMP (Project Management Professional) would be advantageous

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changes quickly.
