Robert Half Desktop Support Analyst in Richardson, Texas

Description We are in search of a Desktop Support Analyst to join our IT Software team located in Richardson, Texas. This role primarily involves providing first-tier technical assistance to our end-users, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, and ensuring timely resolution of problems.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the initial point of contact for technical support for end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network issues via various communication channels.

• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve technical problems, escalating complex issues when necessary.

• Document support activities, solutions, and resolutions accurately in the ticketing system.

• Assist with software installations, upgrades, patches, and perform basic software troubleshooting.

• Deliver exceptional customer service, demonstrating patience, empathy, and effective communication skills.

• Collaborate with IT teams to share knowledge, resolve issues, and improve support processes.

• Manage IT equipment inventory and conduct audits to ensure stock levels.

• Respond promptly to IT support tickets and resolve hardware and software issues.

• Educate users on basic security practices, VPN setup, and email configuration.

• Utilize skills in asset inventory, desktop support, and accounts provisioning to perform tasks effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in IT Software industry standards and practices

• Proven experience in a Desktop Support Analyst role

• Demonstrated expertise in Asset Inventory management

• Solid understanding and experience in Desktop Support

• Experience in Accounts Provisioning

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues

• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and clients

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High level of organizational skills and attention to detail

• Commitment to continuous detail oriented development in IT and related fields

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Familiarity with the latest software and tech trends in the industry

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred
