Full-time Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) Opening – Rhinebeck, NY (90 minutes North of New York City)

Northern Dutchess Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Gastroenterology Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Rhinebeck, New York and Kingston, New York (1 day a week), just two hours north of New York City.

Come join us on our exciting journey as we grow the Digestive Health Institute at Nuvance Health by joining our Nuvance Health Medical Practice Gastroenterology Department. The position includes seeing patients both in the outpatient office and hospital, with a Monday-Friday workday schedule with no call responsibility.

The ideal candidate will be a board certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with at least one year of experience in Internal Medicine and/or Gastroenterology. This is an employed position that includes a comprehensive benefits package, as well as allowances for CMEs and Dues. Our employed Medical Group includes 1000+ physicians and advanced practice providers, serving a geographically broad region throughout eastern New York and western Connecticut.

Our Gastroenterology practice is located on the Northern Dutchess Hospital Campus. Northern Dutchess Hospital (NDH) is an 84-bed acute care not-for-profit community hospital. NDH has an excellent medical staff, exceptional anesthesia, and 24/7 hospitalist coverage. The hospital has recently renovated operating rooms, a brand new, top-rated emergency department, and fully modernized patient care areas.

Rhinebeck is part of one of the largest historic districts in the United States located along the scenic Hudson River. Rhinebeck offers New York City culture in a friendly, small town setting. The town offers a plethora of restaurants, cafes, boutique shops, as well as larger events at the Dutchess Country Fairgrounds. Outdoor enthusiasts will find great skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and boating nearby. We are seeking a candidate who desires to escape the hustle and bustle of big city living, while retaining access to top-rated restaurants, performing arts centers, museums, excellent housing and school systems, and prestigious colleges and universities. New York City is easily accessible via Amtrak.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) school.

  • Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

  • New York State Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner license.

  • Federal DEA.

  • Strong Interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Internal Medicine or Gastroenterology experience preferred

Salary:

$105,000/YR.- $150,000/YR. (Commensurate with experience)
