Job Description Summary

Responsible for Statutory compliance related to Federal, State and local government offices covering taxes, Mexican accounts payable, payroll, internal and external audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for all Mexican tax calculations and payments: ISR, ISPT, IMSS, INFONAVIT, IA, and Payroll taxes.

• Oversees payroll activities.

• Oversees Mexican accounts payable.

• Responsible for headcount reports.

• Review vouchers (Mexican accounts payable) for payment.

• Give support to payroll department.

• Maintain general ledger for the two Mexican Entities in both: pesos and dollars.

• Develop direct reports.

• Prepare Bard México Realty financial statements in pesos.

• Translate peso ledger to dollars for month-end close

• Review corresponding reports for the calculation and submission of tax payments to Hacienda (Mexican IRS) for the following Mexican taxes: ISR (Company Income Tax), ISPT (Employee Income Tax), IVA (Value Added Tax)

• Review IMSS and INFONAVIT accruals and payment.

• Review tax accruals for all four entities.

• Responsible for all head count reports.

• Provide reports and information to federal, state, and local authorities: IMSS (Social Security), INEGI, Hacienda

• Review SOX test plans.

• Pre-review payroll account reconciliations.

• Salaries and benefits for budget.

• Participate in physical inventory.

• Coordinate internal and external auditors.

• Review and analyze spending for budget.

• Prepare property damage and business interruption insurance calculation.

• Review spending for cost reduction opportunities.

• Understand key spending in pesos (e.g., electricity).

• Coordinate transfer price study.

• Coordinate actuarial valuation.

• Coordinate legal filings.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Accounting Degree

• General and Tax Accounting.

• Fiscal and Labor Law.

• Government Reporting.

• Bilingual English and Spanish.

• 4 years in General Accounting and two years Tax preferably.

• Open communication, managing conflict, customer service.
