Role Definition : Leads team responsible for developing and implementing new and improved plant operations including production and manufacturing, maintenance, engineering support, safety, regulatory compliance, distribution and warehousing.

Responsibilities:

  • Training and developing teams capable of completing business objectives and perform and support the plant operating functions.

  • Coordinating tool design, assembly, manufacturing processing, cost estimating, systems planning, layout, standards, releasing, etc.

  • Coordinating capital projects for process enhancement and to improve customer satisfaction, conducting research and ensuring proper approvals.

  • Coordinating the installation of new machines and equipment and process changes to provide the most efficient and economical manufacture or assembly of quality parts.

Capacity Planning & Management - MFG : Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.

Level Basic Understanding:

  • Names several capacity-related measurements and installed tools.

  • Identifies common capacity constraints and seasonal trends.

  • Locates internal and external informative sources or proprietary materials about capacity planning & management.

  • Describes the roles and responsibilities of capacity planners.

Lean Manufacturing : Knowledge of the philosophy, principles and implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Discusses considerations for work cell design and effectiveness monitoring.

  • Finds solution for key technical and people problems associated with transformation to lean.

  • Explains issues and considerations of implementing lean in own function or area.

  • Selects and utilizes tools, techniques and measurements associated with a lean assessment.

  • Explains benchmarks and measures of effectiveness of lean.

Manufacturing Application Systems : Knowledge of company and industry databases and applications used in a manufacturing environment; ability to operate, maintain and update these systems.

Level Working Knowledge:

  • Uses and maintains information or data stored in specific application; reports unusual situations.

  • Documents the major interfaces and dependencies to and from other systems.

  • Follows procedures for the maintenance and upkeep of the databases.

  • Uses all basic features of the information system in context of own work.

Manufacturing Equipment : Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logistics equipment used in manufacturing; ability to safely operate, maintain, update and store them.

  • Follows standard manufacturing processes to conduct production activities.

  • Researches new technologies to be integrated into existing manufacturing process.

  • Explains tools, techniques and documents used for process monitoring and control.

Manufacturing Safety : Knowledge of manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

Level Working Knowledge :

  • Conducts daily maintenance and keeps tracking logs on safety equipment.

  • Responds to first aid and accident situations following standard procedures.

  • Inspects manufacturing working environment to find safety violations within a specific area.

  • Utilizes personal protective equipment required or recommended for manufacturing staff.

  • Determines appropriate action to take when unsafe conditions are encountered.About

What You Have :

  • University degree in Industrials Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, Manufacturing Engineer or related field.

  • 3-5 years of experience in Welding and manufacturing process.

  • This position requires Conversational English.

  • Technical knowledge manufacturing, APQP, and GD&T.

  • Requires strong leadership skills and high performance to lead team members.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and human relations skills are also needed.

  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.

Additional Details:

  • Understanding of quality systems, engineering practices welding (desirable)

  • Robot/Cobot programming (desirable)

  • Manufacturing practices and project management (desirable)

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Black Belt Certification

  • This position will be located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas

  • <20% of working time will be travel

  • Work from Monday to Saturday
