Actalent Electro Mechanical Engineer in REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio

Job Title: Electro Mechanical EngineerJob Description

The Engineer - EEG will perform a variety of multi-trade functions, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, machinery, and facility. Duties include troubleshooting, repair, installation, and replacement of components, basic design, simple fabrication, adjustment, rebuilding, and welding.

Responsibilities

  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment, machinery, and facilities.

  • Troubleshoot, repair, install, and fabricate components.

  • Perform basic design, adjustment, and welding tasks.

  • Work with electrical power, hydraulic power, and air power systems.

  • Understand and work with PLC, light curtains, safety devices, and test cables.

  • Read blueprints and engineering sketches; recognize and interpret details.

  • Keep accurate records for replacement part ordering and regular equipment inspection.

  • Work with rigging and scaffolding to move heavy equipment.

  • Operate powered hand tools and stationary machine tools.

  • Perform welding projects occasionally.

  • Use precision measuring instruments and understand how components fit and work together.

  • Effectively communicate on issues such as scope of work, completion schedules, problems, solutions, and materials or parts required.

  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Basic knowledge of electrical power, hydraulic power, air power, and PLC.

  • Understanding of light curtains and safety devices.

  • Knowledge of repair and replacement of test cables.

  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering sketches.

  • Experience in keeping accurate written records.

  • Ability to work with rigging and scaffolding.

  • Proficiency in operating powered hand tools and precision measuring instruments.

  • Effective communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors in Electro-Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • 1-3 years experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military maintenance environment.

  • Experience with electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting.

  • Experience with PLC programming, pneumatic, hydraulic, ladder logic, and industrial controls is a plus.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00
