Google Security Technical Solutions Engineer, Air Force in Reston, Virginia

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 6 years of experience working with client-side web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or HTTP).

  • 6 years of experience coding with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).

  • 5 years of experience in a consulting role leading or supporting enterprise customers with cloud architecture development, hardening, or threat detection.

  • Experience in technical troubleshooting, and managing internal/external partners or customers.

  • Top Secret US Government Security clearance.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with configurations for Anti Aircraft Artillery.

  • Experience integrating cloud solutions with Federal government systems and networks.

  • Experience in security administration processes and operations.

  • Knowledge in single sign on (SSO) and identity federation.

As a Security Technical Solutions Engineer supporting Air Force customer, you will be a trusted advisor to the customer's organization, working with them to understand security challenges and objectives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Collaborate to develop cloud architectures that align with Google’s best practices and meet specific security requirements, and design and implement solutions to handle challenges.

  • Develop scalable cloud architectures that optimize infrastructure operations across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, fortify cloud architectures against potential threats and disruptions, and ensure continuity and reliability.

  • Provide expert guidance and support during security incidents, and help contain and mitigate threats.

  • Perform security and compliance assessments of environments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend remediation strategies.

  • Partner with Google's internal security teams and external partners to leverage knowledge and insights, ensuring a coordinated approach.
