ICF Business Administrator/Special Projects Coordinator in Reston, Virginia

Description

ICF is seeking a Business Administrator/Special Projects Coordinator to work on a national technical assistance project. The purpose of this project is to develop and maintain a national case coordination program which provide child welfare-based recommendations for unaccompanied children in Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) custody, particularly in the areas of safe and timely release, identification of children with special needs and development of corresponding recommendations, and placement recommendations. The Business Administrator/Special Projects Coordinator will use his/her expertise to support tasks related to the operations of the Case Coordination project including the intersection with project fiscal support. Engages in short and long-term projects that supports the Project Manager’s efforts to meet all contract requirements effectively and efficiently.

The successful candidate has broad knowledge of project coordination and project fiscal concepts. The Business Administrator/Special Projects Coordinator will work closely with and under the oversight of the Project Manager to execute essential strategies related to program operations. The successful candidate will have an ability to partner with the client and leadership team in the development and implementation of procedures and processes related to fiscal management, staffing, training, communication, data analysis, and reporting. He/she works with teams to facilitate delivery of timely and high-quality work products.

Key Responsibilities

Business Administrator/Special Projects Coordinator responsibilities include:

  • Support special projects related to the effective and efficient delivery of project deliverables across project teams.

  • Support materials for client updates and other external reporting.

  • Participate in financial operations meetings and support the finance team in contributing to internal and external reports.

  • Support the Executive Management Team as needed to support project goals.

  • Support budget planning, financial analysis, tracking, and reporting.

  • Support all business processes related to vendor invoicing, payment, and financial tracking.

  • Collecting, drafting, and entering project financial information on monthly status reports/other reporting requirements as related to project finances.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, communications, public relations, or related field which requires an understanding of written communication.

  • A minimum of 2 years professional project coordination experience, including coordinating projects, tasks, deliverables, and reporting.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form with project staff and external partners (e.g., subcontractors).

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in social work, public administration, or other advanced degree in a related field

  • Working knowledge of Unaccompanied Children, ORR, and child welfare.

  • Working knowledge of project financial concepts.

  • Experience working for a refugee program.

  • Proficient in use of Smartsheet, Power BI, or similar applications.

  • Proficient with MS office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$63,511.00 - $107,968.00
