Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Manager in the Food & Food Processing industry, based in Reston, Virginia. The role involves managing various accounting-related administrative tasks, handling lease documents, managing intercompany transactions, and preparing quarterly auditor's PBC requests. The role requires skills in Audit Prep, SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley, SAP ERP, Accruals, Reclassifications, and Intercompany Transaction.

Responsibilities:

• Manage SOX compliance related to administrative tasks, including correcting auto-generated tasks/projects periods, and ensuring deadlines are met.

• Complete and file various census reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Handle lease documents and related data reports.

• Manage G& A expenses, including accruals, releases, reclassifications to the balance sheet, and amortization.

• Post duty accruals, inventory reserve adjustments, logistic accruals, and non-trade deduction entries.

• Manage intercompany clearing transactions.

• Prepare quarterly auditor's PBC requests.

• Maintain monthly closing schedules and complete monthly tasks.

• Utilize SAP software for various accounting tasks. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager role or similar position within the Food & Food Processing industry

• Proficient in SAP ERP software for managing business operations and customer relations

• Experience with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and regulations

• Demonstrated ability in Audit Preparation, ensuring all financial records are accurate and ready for external review

• Proficiency in managing accruals, ensuring the correct recognition of revenues and expenses

• Experience with reclassifications, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly categorized

• Expertise in handling Intercompany Transactions, including recording, reconciling, and settling balances

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required

• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to manage and mentor a team

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear and concise reporting.
