As a Retail Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in representing BASF and promoting our products and services to large regional agricultural retailers. Your primary responsibilities will include selling to large retail customer accounts, strategic planning, and collaboration with other team members.

Selling to large retail customer accounts, working to meet sales targets, and managing budgets for Key Retail Accounts. You will leverage your value-based selling and negotiation skills to drive results with key customers.
Strategically thinking on behalf of BASF, supporting the development and execution of a 3-year business plan for your assigned Key Retail Accounts. You will also take on new projects and initiatives that align with BASF’s focus areas and the priorities of your Key Retail Accounts.
Collaborating with District Managers, Area Managers, and Strategic Account Managers to assess business performance, including Key Retail Accounts, and defining strategic approaches to support BASF customers across regions.
Being a leader in the local BASF sales team to drive actions that create sales. This includes sharing best practices of value-based selling techniques with other BASF sales representatives and fostering a “copy with pride” mindset on how to manage other customers and sell BASF products.
If you...
Have a Bachelor degree and 15 years' experience or a MBA and 12 year's selling experience in the AG industry.
Have expertise in developing and executing account strategies for large, complex Key Account organizations.
Possess knowledge of the agriculture industry, particularly in Seed, Seed Treatment, and Crop Protection.
Have the ability to effectively manage assigned discretionary budget and financial resources.
Possess strong decision-making and problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
Have the capability to handle multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
Possess a collaborative mindset, with a focus on cross-functional coordination.
Have proficiency in CRM systems and data analysis to drive informed decisions.
Possess adaptability to adjust strategies in fast-changing environments.
