Overview
Come join Team Atlantis! We are currently accepting application for a Slot Shift Manager. The Slot Manager is Responsible for the operation of the Slot Department Team Members including Key People, as well as Shift Supervisors and Managers. This position will continually observe slot machine play and examines machines for proper functioning as well as use of illegal gaming devices and coins. Also responsible for overseeing all scheduling of the department, as well as the hiring and termination of slot operation Team Members, ensure all Team Members meet the departments training requirements yearly, including Regulation 6A, and the creation of a constantly updated Team Member handbook and training system. Must create and execute programs which improve guest service and team efficiency, research and remedy accounting, tax and NGC issues as they arise through Team Member error and/or any changes to rules and regulations, and maintain cleanliness of the entire slot floor at all times, as well as the creation of policies and procedures to that affect.
Responsibilities
Monitor and initiate all Slot Department Guest Service initiatives including jackpot response time, introductions, and new Guest sign-ups (with emails and phone numbers).
Resolve Guest disputes, machine malfunctions, and Team Member issues. See each issue through to its conclusion keeping clear communication with Slot Operations Manager.
Participate in every aspect of the Slot Operation including initiating/witnessing jackpots, signing up new Guests, and promoting slot events.
Slot Shift Manager must report all operational issue(s) to the Slot Operations Manager and/or Slot Director. Promote and maintain the highest integrity and premier Guest service. She/he will make sure the Slot Department is operating efficiently and successfully in all areas.
Ensure proper implementation of established policies and procedures pertaining to the Slot Floor.
Make sure cleanliness on the floor in their assigned area and go beyond to ensure the overall cleanliness of the whole floor.
Make sure all MTL and CTS information gets entered / logged by the end of the shift if applicable.
Work with Asst Slot Shift Manager to complete daily/weekly schedule, vacation schedule, team members’ review and counseling.
Capable of pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds; be able to stand or walk around for prolonged periods throughout shift.
Other assignments as assigned my management.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years of age
Nevada Gaming Registration Required
Nevada Alcohol Awareness Card Required
Requires strong mathematical skills with concepts, probability, statistics, proportions, ratios, etc.
Should possess critical thinking skills to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Must have extensive computer background with, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Working knowledge of ACRES and COGNOS preferred.
Must adhere to all appearance standards,* including but not limited to no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors. *
