Seasonal Lead Package Handler
Role Summary
Our client seeks a Lead Package Handler to help their team push through the season. The Lead Package Handler plays a crucial role in overseeing the offloading, loading, and sorting of packages for warehouse distribution. The Lead Package Handlers are the ultimate team players, working closely with the Sort and Operation managers to train new hires, support business metrics, and uphold company values.
Key Results Area
Supervise offloading and sorting incoming packages for distribution and prepare outgoing freight for delivery
Train sorters to perform their assigned tasks safely and accurately
Provide continual feedback to sorters, both positive and negative
Inspect packages to make sure they are safe for truck transportation
Skills & Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is preferred
At least one (1) year of related experience or training or an equivalent of both
Able to regularly lift, push, pull, and move items averaging 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds
Must be at least 18 years of age
