SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Director, the Pharmacy Cashier is responsible for operating the cash register at the pharmacy, taking prescriptions from patients, handing completed orders to patients, recording shipments to the pharmacy and ringing up sales for patients.
MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required
- Experience working in a busy healthcare environment preferred
- Excellent customer service, communication and client relation skills
- Must possess attention to detail, accuracy
- Ability to use cash registers and be quick and accurate
- Ability to work with a wide range of clients
- Knowledge around verification of information required on prescriptions
- Ability to answer the phone and take requests for prescription refills
- Knowledge around processing confidential information and protecting patient privacy
- Ability to prepare daily cash deposit and credit card transaction summaries
- Bilingual English and Spanish required
