Eaton Corporation Machine Operator II- 1st Shift in Reno, Nevada

Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Machine Operator II- 1st Shift. The scheduled shift hours are Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. The hourly rate for this position is $21.25 per hour. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. In this function, you will:

• Understand and proficiently operate assigned machines/presses

• Troubleshoot various machinery problems

• Identify and tag tubs according to shop orders

• QC and document all parts run on machines

• Retrieve and enter data into the SAP computer system

• Inventory components and supplies as needed to ensure efficient and timely production

• Keep work areas clean and safe

• Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

• No relocation package is offered. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the work location to be considered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• More than 6 months of experience with forming or bending machines

• More than 6 months of experience reading drawings or blueprints

• Experience confirming that parts conform to specs using measuring tools.

• Able to operate machinery and presses safely

• Able to read, accurately interpret and produce parts from blueprints and shop drawings

• Able to identify different gauges and types of raw material

• Able to accurately read tape measure, scales, and calipers

• Able to work effectively and productively as a member of a team with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements:

• Able to stand on feet continuously during working shifts.

• Able to lift and bend continuously

• Able to regularly lift 35 pounds with or without accommodation.

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to cold/heat weather conditions while shipping doors are open

• Fast-paced working environment while maintaining safety priorities
