DOWL is looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, and highly-organized Accounting Specialist who possesses the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, professional environment. As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform daily accounting tasks, generate invoices, cash receipts, project reporting, project system setup and maintenance, and other special projects as assigned. You will also collaborate with other accounting staff and departments to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Three to five years' experience in accounting
Accounting degree preferred
Experience in architecture/engineering/construction environment preferred
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
Prepares monthly invoicing and related reports.
Assists Project Managers with client invoicing questions and collection.
Researches cash receipts, coding, and posting of receipts.
Prepares remote bank deposit.
Assists Project Managers with project coordination to include system setup, project maintenance, and document management.
Review monthly financial project reporting to ensure accuracy for revenue recognition and client invoicing.
Provide back-up assistance to other accounting technicians.
Assist with audit preparation.
Other duties may be assigned.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Highly detail oriented and organized in work
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to self-motivate, act, and operate independently with minimal supervision
Proficient with Microsoft Applications
Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint preferred
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance, problem solving, and results
Strong understanding of business office management
