Description
The Air Force and Combatant Command (AFCC) Business Group (BG) operates as one of the five BGs within the SAIC corporate framework. There is an annual revenue of over $1.2B with a customer base that includes all Air Force, Combatant Commands, and DOD Agency customers. There are two strategic campaigns that align our go to market strategies and growth imperatives with our four markets and our customer base.
Job Description: The successful candidate will be a collaborative partner to the AFCC BG Executive Vice President (EVP) and the leadership team. You will lead the execution excellence of all BG programs and the BG strategy development to enable SAIC’s Enterprise Growth.
Duties include:
· Provide strategic and operational counsel to the Executive VP to facilitate the execution of operations and strategic captures for sustainment and growth of the BG.
· Advise Market VPs on strategy and operations.
· Ensure Execution Excellence across the BG to attain the Annual Operations Plan (AOP) financial expectations by providing direct interaction with the PM community to “optimize” contract actions for success.
· Champion all Execution Excellence standards of performance for each program within the portfolio and maintain a team of assessors to evaluate progress and assist programs that are falling short in meeting standards.
· Oversee and lead all BG policies, procedures, strategies, and administration to ensure singularity of focus on maintaining operations.
· Direct and coordinate the activities of the BG staff functions to ensure seamless operations in supporting both the BG leadership and corporate standards of excellence, decorum and administration including finance, business enablement, human resources, security, and facilities.
· Manage the BG incentive programs and quality assurance program in collaboration with enterprise requirements.
· Facilitate communication and partnership between internal functions and the business, promoting collaboration. Stay well connected across the organization to influence outcomes.
· Serve as liaison with staff, executives, and senior leaders, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
· Master’s Degree in any discipline with 20 years’ experience in delivering capability to a DOD customer.
· PMP
· 10 years’ experience as a PM on a DOD program that delivered technical content to the customer (digital, cloud, network, software, hardware, cyber, etc.) in excess of $100M.
· Hands on P&L experience in business operations.
· Executive leadership presence, strategic thinker, and operational zealot for delivering excellence.
· Contract Expert in various contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement, Time & Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and Cost-Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF)
Desired Experience:
· Previous VP of operations in a fortune 500 company
· Previous experience in correcting “red” programs
- Experience working with U.S. Air Force, Department of Defense (DoD) and other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
Target salary range: $240,001 - $280,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
