The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Lead Training Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help drive department-wide business reform for the customer by integrating transportation and financial processes at the transaction level to optimize financial management of the Transportation of Things that support the Department of Defense financial auditability requirements and closing identified auditability gaps. The customer is seeking a multifaceted solution consisting of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities and Policy changes as well as the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE).This position is contingent upon contract award.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead the training team in the development of new products, processes, standards or operational plans and training materials in support of project objectives.

  • Instruct customers, users, and employees on services, procedures, processes, techniques, tactics, products, or skills developments.

  • Participate in course definition and development and delivery.

  • Gather required information from multiple sources to resolve complex issues.

  • Manage allocated training budget.

  • Manage feedback regarding training and make necessary changes.

  • Keep abreast of training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory and new training methods and techniques.

  • Contribute to project reviews and overall contract progress and performance, ensuring all client expectations and deadlines are met.

  • Estimate training resources and resource planning efforts.

  • Represent Division leadership as a senior representative of the program team and act as an interface for customer engagement.

  • Collaborate with the Program Manager and other Key Positions on the program in supervising all program activities within area of responsibility and ensuring that all activities are aligned with the PWS objectives.

  • Interface with company leadership as well as with the government customer, Program Manager, task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel to ensure all technical, financial, contractual and performance requirements are met to bring about the successful completion program goals and objectives.

What does Leidos need from me?

  • Ability to be cleared for a DoD Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship required.

  • Bachelor’s degree with a background in Instructional Systems Development, Education, Training, or Human Resources.

  • Minimum of eight years relevant experience. A master’s degree may be substituted for two years of experience.

  • Minimum of four years experience supervising, coordinating, or administering a training program to include evaluating training facilities, training delivery, training aids, etc. and leading program teams.

  • Qualifying years of experience must be related to transportation management system operations and training for large, complex organizations with stakeholders who are geographically separated.

  • Mastery knowledge of transportation of things, traffic management, and logistic operations policies, concepts, principles, and methodology applicable to air, land, and sea transportation.

  • Ability to identify, evaluate, and leverage emerging and existing technologies that provide rigorous, relevant, and engaging education for instructors and learners.

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.

  • Proven experience in designing multiple training events for large organizations with numerous stakeholders spread out over a large geographic area.

  • Experience building relevant training program, curriculum, and training delivery strategy for a large system such as a transportation management system.

  • Knowledge of Training concepts, principles, and current best practices to initiate areas for improvement and develop strategies and solutions to complex and sensitive transportation and logistics issues.

Favorable if you have:

  • Experience developing and managing training program for large complex information technology programs for Defense organizations.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
