We are hiring a full-time Lead Analyst to join the Ascension Data Sciences Institute.
The Ascension Data Sciences Institute (ADSI) was created in July 2019 with the mission of supporting Ascension in achieving its Quadruple Aim with uniquely skilled, high-performing associates who develop analyses, models and applications to enable Ascension in providing higher value healthcare and making strategic decisions. ADSI comprises domains addressing 1) Clinical quality and patient safety; 2) Strategic Operations and Financial Analytics; 3) Actuarial and Managed Care Analytics; 4) Registry Abstraction Healthcare Solutions; and 5) Healthcare Data Intelligence. We recognize that the healthcare environment is a complex ecosystem of rapidly evolving clinical and economic practices that affect patient and provider experience and demands increasingly sophisticated and complex measurement. Remote Opportunity
What You Will Do
In this role you will act as the lead point of contact for our internal volumes and metrics related to strategic planning and reporting, helping to coordinate and perform analytics for our strategic planning functions (Annual Planning, Physician Forecasts, KPIs and Project Validation). Support and contribute to the development of analytics for services resulting in strategic business insights and recommendations for improvement that will be presented to leaders based on current reporting and requests.
The lead analyst will be responsible for:
Developing knowledge around existing business processes, functions and data sources that will be utilized in the business insights and recommendation development.
Working together with multiple analytic and executive stakeholders in coordinating across functional, data, operational teams and with leaders to ensure accuracy, consistency and optimization of the overall work product and business insights.
Ability to engage with stakeholders to obtain necessary data for analyses which could include disparate source systems and data structures.
Experience with large data sets utilizing cloud-based platforms, SQL or similar query tools.
Participating in the development of complex analyses using big data analytics and statistical methods
Articulate business questions and select appropriate data science methods to provide an answer given available data and problem specific constraints.
Managing Tableau Workbook structures, calculations and data source connections.
Work Experience:
- 4 years of experience (or applicable education) preferred.
Additional Preferences
Master’s degree preferred
Experience or working knowledge of health care concepts and business strategy
Experience or working knowledge of acute and/or ambulatory EHR data
Experience with database languages (e.g., SQL), data visualization (e.g. tableau), and/or other programming software (e.g. R, python)
Experience presenting to Executive Leadership teams
Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specificexperience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
