More About the Role:

Leidos is seeking a Solutions Delivery Manager to support the Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) contract, the largest IT services program for the Navy. Under SMIT, the Leidos team delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI), including areas such as cybersecurity services, network operations, service desk, voice & video, messaging & mobility, and data transport. The Leidos team supports the Navy in unifying its shore-based networks and data management to improve capability and service while also striving for cost efficiencies and savings by focusing efforts under one enterprise network. The successful candidate will lead the solution development, integration, and project managing using Agile principles for transformation projects within the Navy / Marine Corps Technical Services area.

What You'll Get to Do:

•Drives paradigm shifting change across an organization with 2,000+ employees.

•Provides project planning and execution oversight for internal and customer facing transformation initiatives.

•Provides technical leadership and guidance to deliver products and services that address customer and program specific business problems.

•Provides technical leadership in developing initiative strategy and backlog.

•Leads cross-functional teams from across all areas of the SMIT contract and/or NMC Business Area to execute and achieve team objectives.

•Facilitates Scrum Ceremonies to include periodic standups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

•Identifies and removes impediments or obstacles that may prevent team from achieving sprint goals.

•Works with stakeholders and other teams to address dependencies and external impediments affecting team progress.

•Fosters collaboration within the team and with other teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.

•Establishes and maintains a continuous feedback loop to assess team performance and make necessary adjustments.

•Tracks and reports on team progress, using metrics such as burndown charts, velocity, and other Agile performance indicators.

•Manages and refines backlog.

•Ensures team’s work aligns with the broader business objectives for the NMC BA, SMIT Program, and the customer.

•Develops and reports metrics that measure before and after states of transformation initiatives.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

•Requires B.S. Degree and 12–15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10–13 years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain (in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university).

•Ten (10 or more years’ experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.

•Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start the program.

•Demonstrated experience leading and provide solution development for highly complex architectures and plans for information technology infrastructure services.

•Demonstrated experience in managing technical projects using Lean/Agile methodologies.

•Possesses broad knowledge base with key IT technologies, system engineering practices, IT processes and lifecycle methodologies, technical project execution and management, and IT modernization and transformation.

•Motivated self-starter with ability to lead and work in a matrix organization and communicate effectively with peers, subordinates, and program leadership.

•Ability to drive team performance, manage matrixed teams, and drive change across a large-scale organization.

•Ability to multi-task, self-assign work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

•Exceptional communication abilities, both verbal and written, including business writing on complex topics.

•Experience and ability to successfully negotiate and influence others to understand and accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.

•Strong analytical, communication and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team, including the ability to clearly articulate status and present to both customers and program leadership.

•Travel up to 25% may be required.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

•Prior experience managing IT operations or engineering for large scale production environments.

•Prior successful experience managing technical projects in the Navy environment.

•Certifications:

-ITIL.

-LSS.

-Cloud (any).

Pay Range:

Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
