Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager for our International Payroll product. This role will contribute to and deliver results against the established product strategy, working closely with multiple engineering teams across different time zones and cultural backgrounds. The ideal candidate is a team player who excels in cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with global partners and product managers within and outside their category. They will drive the creation of a modern, innovative payroll solution tailored for international customers, considering diverse market requirements and user experiences. Strong communication skills and the ability to navigate time zone and language barriers are essential, alongside the ability to balance both execution and strategic thinking. Experience in global payroll is highly desirable.

  • Proven experience as a Product Manager with a focus on delivering results, preferably in global payroll or related areas.

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple teams and drive results.

  • Skilled at working with global partners in different time zones, particularly with non-native English speakers, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

  • Adept at managing relationships with engineering teams across various countries, even with large time zone differences, ensuring smooth execution and team alignment.

  • A true team player who thrives on collaboration—working with Product Managers both within and outside of your product category to deliver integrated solutions across Paylocity’s product suite.

  • Capable of presenting ideas and product strategies to senior executives and gaining buy-in for product direction.

  • Customer-centric mindset, focused on solving customer problems and delivering impactful solutions.

  • Data-driven, using insights to inform decision-making and prioritize initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fostering collaboration across teams.

    During the first six months at Paylocity, you will:

  • Lead product execution for the International Payroll product, coordinating with multiple engineering teams to ensure timely delivery.

  • Collaborate with other Product Managers across different categories to ensure alignment and integration of solutions across the broader Paylocity platform.

  • Build strong working relationships with global partners and engineering teams across different countries and time zones, ensuring seamless collaboration, clear communication, and alignment while effectively managing cultural differences and language barriers.

  • Develop a strong understanding of our customers, business, competition, and the global payroll landscape.

  • Regularly present product strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and executives, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

  • Contribute to and deliver results against the product vision and strategy, focused on meeting customer needs and adapting to market trends.

  • Own and prioritize the product backlog, writing user stories and breaking down complex functionality into epics and user stories.

  • Conduct product discovery sessions, gather customer feedback, and validate product features.

  • Monitor and analyze product performance post-launch, identifying opportunities for improvements.

  • Regularly communicate with customers and internal stakeholders to assess product performance and gather insights.

    Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management, ideally with global payroll solutions.

  • Strong experience in working with agile development teams.

  • Proven ability to collaborate with product managers across different categories and work cross-functionally to deliver cohesive product solutions.

  • Experience working with international teams, particularly across different time zones, and with non-native English speakers.

  • Proven ability to manage engineering teams located in different countries with large time zone differences.

  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate product strategy and updates to executive leadership.

  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, fostering collaboration across multiple teams.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Superior attention to detail with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically, balancing short-term execution with long-term planning.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $128,000- $237,600/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location.
