CTG RDBMS Database Administrator in Remote, United States
CTG is seeking to fill an RDBMS Database Administrator opening for our client in Dallas, TX.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Manage, maintain, and support RDBMS applications to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
Implement database designs, data models, and database architecture for applications.
Perform backup and recovery tasks, ensuring data integrity and security.
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Monitor database performance, performing tuning and optimization tasks.
Work closely with development teams to design, deploy, and manage production environments.
Implement database security and compliance policies.
Provide database support during application deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Skills:
Expertise in RDBMS technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
Proficient in SQL query writing, performance tuning, and optimization.
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Experience with database security best practices and access control.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
Familiarity with cloud-based RDBMS solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in RDBMS administration and support.
Experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization.
Proven ability to manage large databases in a production environment.
Experience with database migration, upgrades, and patching.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers and infrastructure teams.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 92,000 to $ 98,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
