CTG is seeking to fill an RDBMS Database Administrator opening for our client in Dallas, TX.

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 months

Duties:

• Manage, maintain, and support RDBMS applications to ensure high availability and optimal performance.

• Implement database designs, data models, and database architecture for applications.

• Perform backup and recovery tasks, ensuring data integrity and security.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.

• Monitor database performance, performing tuning and optimization tasks.

• Work closely with development teams to design, deploy, and manage production environments.

• Implement database security and compliance policies.

• Provide database support during application deployments, migrations, and upgrades.

• Prepare and maintain documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.

Skills:

• Expertise in RDBMS technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.

• Proficient in SQL query writing, performance tuning, and optimization.

• Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies.

• Experience with database security best practices and access control.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.

• Familiarity with cloud-based RDBMS solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).

• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in RDBMS administration and support.

• Experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization.

• Proven ability to manage large databases in a production environment.

• Experience with database migration, upgrades, and patching.

• Experience working with cross-functional teams, including developers and infrastructure teams.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) are a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 92,000 to $ 98,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
