CTG Lead Auditor in Remote, United States

CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Auditor opening for our client in New York.

Location: Remote

Duration: 3 months

Overview:

The Lead Auditor will lead and execute audits across assigned domains, including overseeing annual risk assessments, continuous auditing, and remediation plan validations. This role requires effective communication of audit progress and findings to Bank Management and overseeing Auditors on assigned audit activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in audits from planning to reporting, ensuring quality deliverables in accordance with professional standards and timely completion.

  • Plan and execute assurance activities, including continuous auditing, product delivery assessments, validation procedures, investigations, and retrospective reviews.

  • Write clear and concise audit findings, identifying risks and root causes. Communicate findings to Bank Management promptly.

  • Establish strong working relationships with stakeholders, business management, and Risk Management while maintaining independence.

  • Embrace and drive innovative change, helping the team adapt.

  • Incorporate data analytics and automation techniques into all phases of audits and related activities.

  • Maintain subject matter expertise in the assigned discipline.

  • Coach and develop Auditors and new hires, including supervising their work and performing review duties.

  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, equity, and belonging within the team.

  • Contribute to the achievement of division priorities.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The Lead Auditor will oversee assurance activities and advisory services, maintaining communication with Bank Management and other stakeholders. They will ensure all activities conform to professional auditing standards and report to an Audit (Senior) Manager.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coach Auditors and new hires, ensuring quality work and development.

  • Supervise and lead audit planning, review processes, and team activities.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in auditing and risk assessments, particularly in IT controls and audit planning.

  • Strong understanding of audit methodology and IT general controls.

  • Experience leading audit teams, including planning and executing audits from start to finish.

  • Proficiency in data analytics and automation techniques in auditing.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Experience in the financial services sector.

  • Familiarity with modernized audit tools and techniques.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
