CTG Design Aids & Automation Engineering Professional in Remote, United States
CTG is seeking to fill a Design Aids & Automation Engineering Professional job for our client in Albany, NY.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Develop test structure layouts using design automation per specified requirements, utilizing industry-standard EDA tools, including Cadence Virtuoso Design Environment and SKILL code.
Develop manual layout cells based on specified requirements using Cadence Virtuoso Design Environment.
Interpret design rules and macro specifications to ensure compliance with process requirements.
Collaborate closely with process development engineers, test structure designers, and layout technicians to create layout automation that aligns with the intent of the test structure designs.
Debug and troubleshoot issues in a team environment, ensuring high-quality, error-free deliverables.
Skills:
Strong experience using Cadence Virtuoso layout design tool (at least 3 years).
Proficiency with Cadence SKILL programming language (at least 2 years).
Basic understanding of physical layout, technology ground rules, and semiconductor processing.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug layout-related issues.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Fluent in both verbal and written English, with strong communication skills.
Experience:
At least 3 years of experience with Cadence Virtuoso layout design.
At least 2 years of experience with Cadence SKILL programming.
Familiarity with semiconductor layout and design rules, as well as debugging layout-related issues.
Experience with sub-micron semiconductor technology nodes (preferred).
Experience with Synopsys ICV DRC checking tool (preferred).
Education:
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field is preferred.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $84,000 to $105,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefits package is also offered.
