How you will make an impact:
Discover impactful work as our new Engineer II, Field Service. Within our EMEA team, we are seeking an Engineer based in France to lead customers within their respective region. As an Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering service activities including installations, repairs, and maintenance services for the Bulk Elemental Analysis team in EMEA. This highly exciting and professional role will deliver a high level of customer service resulting in customer happiness.
What you will do:
Represent our company in a positive and professional manner when dealing with our customers, both external and internal.
Own and deliver service commitments and complete installations, repairs, data analysis and calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and radiation services on X-Ray fluorescence spectrometers (XRF) and optical emission spectrometers (OES).
Service reporting, documentation, and creation of protocols to specification both internally and for customer needs.
Maintain a high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting an excellent customer experience.
Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer projects that can be implemented to meet and exceed customer expectations.
Help on continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
Education
- Diploma or equivalent preferable in electrical engineering, chemistry, engineering, or technical training in the field of electronics.
Who we are looking for:
Professional background in electronics/engineering or related subjects.
Experience in handling or servicing analytical equipment.
Some knowledge of spectroscopy would be an advantage, but not critical.
Proficient in English; additional languages a plus.
A valid driver’s license.
Comfortable working in a customer-facing role, with an always customer-centric approach.
Strong interpersonal and administrative skills.
Self-sufficient; comfortable working independently and a logical approach to setting work priorities.
Travel extensively within the region, including overnight stays and longer trips for training.
Five years of work experience in technical services.
Field service experience (technical) or strong service knowledge.
Preferable knowledge in heavy industrial processes (metallurgy, mining, geology and geochemistry, petroleum, polymers, glass, etc…).
Outstanding fixing skills passionate about electromechanical, software, and application issues.
