PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $91,700.00-$112,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $71,200.00 - $132,600.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:

As a Senior Financial Systems Administrator at BECU, you'll be the key to unlocking the full potential of our Accounting Systems capability. Your technical and strategic leadership will drive the design, development, testing, and ongoing administration of our enterprise performance management software. You'll ensure our financial systems not only function optimally but also evolve to meet future challenges, ultimately playing a pivotal role in the success and efficiency of BECU.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Ensure Compliance and Security: Maintain responsibilities in line with BECU Competencies and Information Protection standards to safeguard our systems and data.

  • Systems Administration: Oversee all aspects of financial reporting systems, including critical month-end and year-end processes.

  • Support and Maintenance: Ensure the continued functionality of financial reporting systems and maintain third-party system interfaces.

  • Process Improvement: Analyze current processes and recommend enhancements leveraging existing or new technologies to boost department efficiency.

  • Consult and Guide: Act as a consultant for staff and management, providing strategic insights and guidance on long-term system objectives.

  • User Management: Set up new users, manage licenses, system access, and privileges, and offer training to end users to ensure data security.

  • Technical Collaboration: Work closely with vendors and IT to resolve system issues, implement application patches, and perform system upgrades and testing.

  • System Development: Research and develop system functionalities to meet business requirements, and thoroughly test these solutions.

  • Disaster Recovery: Ensure robust data backup and disaster recovery procedures in coordination with IT.

  • Metadata Management: Create and maintain system metadata and associated architecture.

  • Best Practices: Stay updated on internal and external best practices, and act as a conduit for introducing these to BECU.

  • System Integration: Facilitate and manage integrations with other Credit Union systems.

  • Financial Reporting: Design and maintain financial report layouts and system queries.

  • Documentation: Ensure that all procedures are well-documented and updated to guide staff in daily operations.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or computer science, or equivalent work or education-related experience.

  • Minimum of five years working in an accounting/finance environment.

  • Minimum of five years in Systems Analyst, System Administrator, or equivalent roles, with financial systems experience.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, and Waterfall project management methodologies.

  • Proven experience assisting users with system issues and effectively communicating system functionality.

  • OneStream system experience

  • Familiarity with relational databases and capability to manage and analyze large datasets.

  • Thorough knowledge of software structure, testing techniques, and issue resolution methods.

  • Excellent planning, scheduling, implementation, conceptual, organizational, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficient verbal and written skills to communicate effectively in English.
