Job Description

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Team Leader to support efforts in stabilizing and optimizing the MHK application care management platform. This role is critical to supporting the Utilization Management program and ensuring operational excellence.

As the Team Leader, you will oversee a team responsible for problem resolution, production support, and process optimization. You will collaborate closely with management and cross-functional teams to address issues related to the development, modification, and re-engineering of processes and systems.

What You'll Do

  • Supervises a team responsible for business systems analysis, problem resolution and the support of business initiatives and system enhancements to ensure appropriate technology solutions for the business area.

  • Acts as a liaison between the business area and Information Technology (IT) to ensure the understanding of business problems in order to reach the ultimate technical solution that meets business needs.

  • Ensures planning and staffing of resources are adequately aligned to address business initiatives; recommends improvements; provides business process knowledge and/or subject matter expertise for addressing business area technology decisions.

  • Responsible for developing tools and techniques to optimize performance and ensuring that the staff utilizes best practices for support processes and procedures.

  • Networks and collaborates effectively with user workgroups and cross‑functional system area support teams that include multiple IT teams and/or vendors to ensure efficiency and productivity of systems used and to effectively manage optimization.

  • Ensures validation of IT and/or vendor provided technical solutions and/or identifies alternatives to solve business problems.

  • Seeks opportunities to enhance systems, services, and products

What You'll Bring (Hiring Requirements)

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

  • 5+ years of experience in related field.

  • In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in Healthcare Operations.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare operations.

  • System Configuration Expertise.

Nice to Have (Hiring Preferences)

  • Knowledge and experience with MHK solutions, including care management, utilization management, and compliance modules.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we take great pride in a fair and equitable compensation package that reflects market-price and our starting salaries are typically planned near the middle of the range listed. Compensation decisions are driven by factors including experience and training, specialized skill sets, licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a robust Total Rewards package that includes an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

$75,900.00 - $136,600.00
