As a Senior Semantics Modeler, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintain the semantic models and data layers that support enterprise-wide data analytics and reporting. You will be working closely with data engineers, data architects, AI/ML engineers, business analysts and business stakeholders to ensure that data is structured, accessible and optimized for Business Intelligence and AI/ML needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Semantic Modeling :
  • Designs and implements semantic data models and data layers that provide a unified and meaningful view of business data.
  1. Requirements Gathering :
  • Collaborates with business stakeholders and business analysts to gather requirements and translates them into semantic models that support reporting and analytics needs.
  1. Data Integration :
  • Collaborate with data engineering team to integrate data from multiple sources into the semantic layer.
  1. Performance Optimization :
  • Optimizes semantic models for performance and scalability to handle large datasets and complex queries.

  • Implements performance improvements as needed.

  1. Documentation and Standards :
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for all semantic models and data processes.

  • Ensures compliance with data governance policies and industry best practices.

  1. Collaboration :
  • Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to ensure alignment of semantic models with business objectives.
  1. Training :
  • Conducts training sessions and workshops to educate users on the use and benefits of semantic models.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in data modeling, semantic modeling, and business intelligence.

  • Proficiency in languages such as SQL, Python, MDX, and DAX.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake with Ab Initio a plus)

  • Strong understanding of metadata management, data governance, data architecture, and data quality principles.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a cross-functional team environments.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required)

• 5+ years of experience in related field.

• In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience in related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Snowflake cloud platform, AWS, PowerBI, Tableau, Ab Initio and Ataccama.

  • Experience in a similar role within a large enterprise or complex environment.

Salary Range

$84,000.00 - $152,200.00
