Software Test Engineers work with dedicated product teams to ensure that our products deliver against our customers’ unmet needs. They function as ambassadors of quality within the team and lead by example in instilling a testing mindset to improve overall quality and team velocity. ?They are responsible for ensuring our software functions the way it is intended by creating automated testing plans and strategy, creating/coaching software engineers/Associate Software Test Engineers/Software Test Engineers to create various forms of automated testing, execute tests and solve complex issues. They work side by side with software engineers to improve overall software quality and recommend opportunities for improvement.

During the first six months, you will:

· Recommend and implement improvements to team core processes

· Create test plans and oversee testing tasks from design to completion

· Solve technical testing challenges with input from senior team members and the testing community

· Identify testing gaps in the team’s product and finds ways to address them

· Add automated tests for the team to existing framework

· Work within the scope of a team of developers and product owners

· Analyze Production issues and regression bugs to identify and implement preventative measures

· Utilize existing load and performance testing frameworks

· Perform exploratory testing on the product to understand its testing challenges

· Understand how to use security testing tools to find gaps in security coverage

Required Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent with 2+ years of experience.

· Demonstrated experience writing automated tests using frameworks such as Cypress or Playwright

· Experience with performance testing using tools such as JMeter, Artillery or Locust

· Demonstrated experience working with client-side web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript)

· Experience testing RESTful APIs

· Experience writing SQL queries including joins

· Experience testing consumer facing web applications

· AWS experience is a plus

· Knowledge of software testing best practices in an agile environment

· Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery integrations or tooling

· Must be adaptable to change and have a willingness to learn

· Must have a strong sense of curiosity

· Must commit to their role and take responsibility for their tasks

· Must be able to work effectively in an agile and team environment

· Must be effective and creative in problem solving
