The revenue team is responsible for reporting the Company's revenue and related financial statement metrics in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles. In this role, you will also support the billing and revenue accounting function on a day-to-day basis, which includes completing billing related tasks, preparing journal entries to support the monthly close, performing monthly account reconciliations, and other analyses as requested. What You'll Do at Pega:

• Read and understand signed customer Software License agreements, exercise judgment to accurately extract the relevant customer and transaction details from the contract and input into contracts system to comply with revenue accounting policy and ASC 606

• Ensure complete and accurate commercial terms and contract/order data is passed to the downstream processes which drives revenue recognition

• Support Customers and business partners within the Company, worldwide, where assistance is needed about billings (PegaBillers mailbox) and other requests.

• Produce clear and organized work papers that support the Company’s SEC filings and the internal/external audit process; analyze results in accordance with GAAP.

• Support the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue close.

• Perform fluctuation analysis and research variances using the general ledger system.

• Coordinate with the external and internal auditors for quarterly reviews, year-end audits, corporate & statutory audits and SOX compliance testing.

• Build relationships to collaborate with internal partners to resolve issues in a timely fashion.

• Support a team-oriented environment, ensuring that all tasks are being completed timely and accurately.

• Perform user acceptance testing of system enhancements.

• Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects or ad hoc assignments.

Who You Are:

A detail-oriented, multitasker with knowledge of billing and revenue processes and how these processes interrelate and impact a company’s financial statements. This individual has exceptional interpersonal skills and enjoys being a team player, they are also able to work independently. This person is results-oriented and has the self-motivation to continuously learn and develop their skills.

What You've Accomplished:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

• Chartered Accountant (ICAI)– India with 0 to 3 years of software industry experience in Accounting or Finance

• Semi-qualified Chartered Accountant with 1-4 years of billing and ASC 606 experience

• Experience with ASC – 606, Software Revenue Recognition preferred

• Working knowledge of Billing and Revenue processes preferred

• Experience with ERP systems, SAP preferred, Microsoft Excel

• Detail oriented with good organizational skills

• Demonstrate problem solving capabilities for complex transactions

• Ability to work cross-functionally and solve problems independently

• Ability to multitask, work both independently and within a team and meet deadlines

• Communication skills – excellent written, oral & presentation
